Video Content Creator

  • Mexico City, CDMX, Mexico
  • Full-Time
  • Remote

Job Description:

We're looking for a Video Content Creator who can own video content end-to-end, from the first idea to the final export. This isn't a pure editing role: you'll come up with concepts, write scripts and hooks, and then bring them to life in the edit. Most of what you'll make is short-form (Reels, TikTok, Shorts) for clients across LATAM and the US, with real opportunity to grow into long-form work like podcasts and YouTube.

You won't be handed a folder of footage and a brief every time. Often you'll be the one deciding what the video should even be, the concept, the hook, the structure, before a single clip gets cut.

What you'll do

Ideate. Come up with content concepts tailored to each client's brand, audience, and the platform it's going on, not generic templates.

Script. Write scripts, hooks, and shot lists that are built for retention, not just information.

Edit. Turn raw footage, client-recorded or your own, into polished, platform-native content.

Guide recording. For most clients, you won't be on camera yourself. You'll write clear shot lists and prompts so clients can record themselves well, and coach them on what "good raw footage" looks like.

Occasionally record. For a handful of clients, you may record voiceover or on-camera segments yourself when it's the right fit.

Stay current. Keep a pulse on short-form trends, formats, and platform changes, and bring new ideas to the team proactively.

What we're looking for

  • A portfolio that shows range across the full process, concept, script, and edit, not just clean cuts on someone else's footage.
  • Strong instincts for what makes short-form content get watched to the end: hooks, pacing, retention.
  • Excellent written English. Scripts need to land with US audiences even when you're not the one on camera.
  • Comfortable in standard editing tools (Premiere, CapCut, DaVinci, or similar). Motion graphics skills are a plus, not a requirement.
  • Experience creating your own content, a personal channel, TikTok, or Instagram presence, is a strong signal, even if it's small.
  • Bonus: experience recording your own voiceover or on-camera content, podcast production experience, or bilingual (Spanish/English) fluency.

What's different about this role vs. a typical editor job

This role is built around judgment as much as execution. We're not looking for someone who can just "cut well", we want someone who understands why one hook works better than another, who can defend a creative choice with a result, and who's excited to own that thinking instead of waiting to be told what to make.
